With each passing year there is an increase in useage of online searches for properties over the festive period. In 2017 there was a 5% rise in web-traffic reported by property portal giant Rightmove – with figures now rising over 40% since 2012.

Buyers are making use of their freetime between Christmas and New Year to find their perfect property. Their desire to search for a new home may be down to the fact they have family around them to help support their decision or having that New Year goal.
