In the heart of Deal, off the high street, the Maritime museum is packed with information. Built in 1803, the museum showcases how commercial and domestic property developed next to each other from the 17th century.

As with all of the towns in South East Kent, the beach is always a popular destination. Take a walk along Deal Pier and enjoy the views.

Built by the order of King Henry VIII, Deal Castle is one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England. You can explore the castle and its grounds in full.
