Chatham Place Residence is a brand new development within an attractive Grade II Listed property and consists of a quirky variety of various layouts to accommodate modern living.

These charming new homes have been built by a local developer and designed around the original character of the building; with high ceilings, large original sash windows, cast iron radiators and distant sea views.

This unique building was actually listed in the 1887 street directory as Miss Bishops Ladies School and later had been home to a Working Man’s Club for many years until 2016. This incredible building sits in a prominent position in the town overlooking Chatham House School and the imposing St George’s Church. It is only 10 min walk to sea front and the train station.

The new apartments are worlds apart from the accommodation provided historically. Although some historic elements were retained, they all now feature high end specification handless kitchen with solid worktop and integrated Bosh appliances; modern bathrooms with porcelain tiles and rainfall showers; video entry system; Sky Q connection and oak flooring throughout.

Prices start from £140,000 to £295,000 and are available to reserve now.

Ramsgate is situated on the southerly aspect of the Isle of Thanet and benefits the country’s only Royal Harbour, its status being granted by King George IV in 1821.

The distinctive and beautiful harbour has a vibrant yachting community alongside some commercial activity and was where the Little Ships evacuation of Dunkirk set out from in 1940.

The town is enjoying something of a Renaissance with its large amount of Grade II Listed property, many set within elegant Regency squares, or overlooking the sea, others with links to or influenced by the architect Augustus Pugin.

In recent years the Royal Harbour has seen many restaurants, cafes and bars emerge alongside quirky independent retail outlets, some utilising the arches on the quayside beneath Royal Parade.

The town is steeped in history with associations to many well known figures including Queen Victoria , Karl Marx and Vincent Van Gogh as well as having a fascinating network of tunnels beneath the main centre.

The fortunes of the town have been hugely assisted by the recent addition of a high speed rail link to London St Pancras in just 76 minutes from Ramsgate Train Station which is a short walk away, making a commute for many a viable option.

Chatham Place Residence is a fantastic location, it’s a short walk from The Promenade, the beach and Ramsgate Leisure Centre. There are also a selection of primary and secondary schools within close proximity to this brand new development.
