Unsurprisingly, Dover Castle is one of the major attractions across the whole of Kent. It is known as ‘the most iconic of all English fortresses’ – you can climb the Great Tower for some stunning views. Various events take place there throughout the year. Dover Castle played a crucial role in the defence of the realm for over nine centuries. Adult tickets are under £20, while children can enter for £11.
