Miles & Barr have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full time basis working from their Head Office at Discovery Park, Sandwich.

Are you a personable and proactive individual, looking to start your career in Accounts? Are you working towards your AAT’s and looking to gain valuable experience within a small, friendly and professional team who will offer guidance and support with your studies? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

The role will involve but is not limited to:
  • Banking on a daily basis
  • Data entry and managing databases – Excel/Sage
  • Managing Petty Cash
  • Providing analysis and statistics to the business
  • Supporting Payroll; updating reports, collating information
  • Any Ad-Hoc duties required by management
Essential skills you will possess:
  • Accounts experience preferred, however not essential as training will be provided
  • Completed or currently undertaking the initial stages of AAT would be beneficial
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft package (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidentiality is a must
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily tasks
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to use your own initiative
